Many diseases in humans are directly or indirectly caused by a lack of essential nutrients which include vitamins, dietary minerals, essential fatty acids, co-factors and essential amino acids in the diet. Deficiencies can lead to a variety of health problems, such as skin problems, premature aging, defective bone growth, difficulty learning, and chronic fatigue, to name a few conditions. A nutritional deficiency occurs when the body doesn’t receive or absorb the proper essential nutrients that it needs to function. However, it is important to note that both nutritional deficiency and excess can cause diseases. Food excesses can cause obesity which in turn can trigger diabetes which leads to high blood pressure, kidney disease, high cholesterol, so and so forth.
Before you run to get multivitamins to compensate for any nutritional deficiency, bear in mind that our current need for vitamins has been greatly exaggerated. For sure some supplements have their place, but according to JoAnn Manson, M.D., chief of preventive medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and a member of the institute’s committee on vitamin D, “many of the claims are overblown and unsubstantiated”. “People are often given the impression that supplements work better than they really do.”
Many studies show that multivitamins not only benefit us much in our health, but also increase the risk of certain diseases, such as cancer and cardiovascular disease. I talked in-depth about these issues and how science cannot duplicate what nature creates, even when the chemical analysis is identical in my book, Moringa Nature’s Most Nutritious and Most Powerful Superfood.
The actual amounts of vitamins that our bodies need are very small. Every vitamin needed for our bodies can be found in the food we eat. To live well, we eat a wide variety of fresh foods and top it off with the superfood Moringa for extra assurance.
Moringa offers better supplementation than most of the multivitamin and mineral supplements; the current quality of nutrition is detrimental to our existence. Remember to indulge in nature’s walk in the sun for your Vitamin D!
Ancient civilizations relied on natural plants for nourishment and for medicines. For thousands of years, humans have observed, tested and learned from nature and then passed down this knowledge by oral tradition or manuscript, generation after generation, bringing us to this day.
Moringa is one of these plants that caught the attention of our ancestors. Many ancient medicinal systems venerated this great tree for its tremendous health benefits for centuries, so it is not new to humanity. Moringa is well-mentioned in Indian Veda, the Unani medicine system, and the African ancient civilization (Egypt). Nowadays, thanks to the numerous scientific studies that keep proving what was known to be true then, Moringa is the most sought-after and acclaimed superfood on the planet.
Everywhere the Moringa tree grows, in its rather short life of 20 years, it does what it is known best for as the “Tree of Life.” It enriches soils and nourishes plants, animals, and people, oblivious or defiant of any altitude, weather conditions, or whether water is available or not – it doesn’t care – its roots reach as deep as possible to find the underground water source. As an adaptogen, Moringa has something special for every nutrient deficiency:
- for the anemic, it offers a digestible and bioavailable iron.
- for the vegan, a great amount of complete simple protein and vitally-needed calcium.
- for parents, a sure source of daily vitamins and mineral for their little fussy eaters.
- for everyone else, 92-plus nutrients, more than 46 powerful antioxidants, omega 3, 6 and 9, and much more to discover.
All that, plus a pleasant green taste and lots of good energy! To compensate for your nutrient deficiency, you don’t need to overdose anymore on mega-doses of lab-made vitamins and minerals that mimic REAL vitamins and minerals. With Moringa leaf powder, a little goes a long way. Food in its wholesomeness offers a myriad of variety and combination of nutrients that work in synergy within us. Moringa is without a doubt the “Miracle plant.”
We understand that consuming one plant’s leaf powder can be very boring for most of you, so that is why we offer you healthy recipe ideas that include a wide variety of fruits and veggies for your daily enjoyment. Now you can enjoy your daily Moringa plus a natural rainbow of wholesome food!
