Why Did I Create Piur1?
Before becoming an entrepreneur, I spent 15 years as a scientific evaluator at Health Canada in food safety. That experience shaped the standards I bring to every product I create.
For 11 years with Nia Pure Nature, I offered natural supplements primarily in powder form. I love powders, but I also realized that busy lives can make daily preparation difficult. I wanted to offer the same philosophy of purity and natural ingredients in a more convenient form. That is how Piur1 was born.
Every Piur1 supplement I introduce must have a purpose: either offer something I believe is missing from the natural supplement market or improve the purity and quality of what is already available.
My philosophy is simple: carefully selected ingredients, no unnecessary fillers or other additives, and no compromising on quality.
What Does Purity Really Look Like?
Recently, customers noticed that a batch of our Camu Camu capsules had changed from the familiar beige colour to pink. I took their concerns seriously.
I immediately had a sample sent to an independent third party laboratory to reconfirm its identity. The testing confirmed that it was indeed 100% Camu Camu.
The pink colour was a natural variation from the fruit itself. Like apples, Camu Camu can show different colours as it matures, including reddish and pink tones. When more of the naturally pigmented outer portion of the fruit is present in the powder, that colour can become visible. Nothing was added to make it pink. It was simply nature showing itself.
Most importantly, I did not want customers to simply take my word for it. I had it tested, confirmed the results and shared them. That is what integrity means to me.
Why Did I Choose These 8 Supplements?
I created the original Piur1 collection around ingredients I genuinely believed deserved a place in the natural health market:
- Moringa: a nutrient rich superfood and source of antioxidants.
- Graviola Leaf: a tropical botanical rich in naturally occurring antioxidants and plant compounds, with a long history of traditional use for health and wellness.
- Shatavari: an Ayurvedic herb used as a women’s tonic.
- Ashwagandha: an adaptogenic herb traditionally used to help increase resistance to stress.
- Lion’s Mane: a functional mushroom traditionally used to support cognitive health.
- Cordyceps Sinensis: an adaptogenic functional mushroom traditionally valued for supporting energy, vitality and immune health.
- Digestive Support: a natural formula designed to support healthy digestion.
- Camu Camu: a concentrated Amazonian fruit extract and source of vitamin C and antioxidants.
And I am not stopping there.
What’s Next for Piur1?
As Piur1 enters its third year, I am incredibly excited for what is ahead. This fall, I am introducing 6 new Piur1 supplements, each carefully selected with the same philosophy of purity, quality and meaningful benefits.
I am deeply grateful to every customer who asks questions, reads our labels, recommends our products and trusts Piur1 as part of their wellness journey. I am equally grateful to our retail partners who believed in Piur1 and continue to help this Canadian brand grow.
As Piur1 grows, one thing will never change: growth will never be more important to me than integrity.
Thank you for your trust and support over these first 2 years. I cannot wait to share what comes next.
With gratitude,
