Every Canada Day, I find myself reflecting on how fortunate I am to call this country home.
36 years ago, my parents made one of the most important decisions of their lives. They chose Canada as the place where they would build a future for our family. They arrived with hopes, dreams, and the determination to create opportunities for their children.
They did not come halfway. They came wholeheartedly, ready to embrace this country, work hard, contribute, and give back. Canada welcomed us, and in return, my parents taught us that we have a responsibility to make our community stronger than we found it. That lesson has been passed from one generation to the next and continues to guide our family today.
Today, Ottawa is much more than the city where we live. It is home in every sense of the word.
It is where my parents built their lives, where they are now laid to rest, and where more than 20 members of our family have since been born. Their decision changed not only our lives but also the lives of future generations.
As I look at our growing family, I am filled with gratitude for my parents’ courage and vision. Choosing Canada gave us opportunities we could only dream of, and for that, I will always be thankful.
Canada has given us safety, freedom, opportunity, and the privilege of contributing to a country that values diversity, compassion, and hard work.
One of the greatest honours of my journey was serving Canadians for 15 years as a scientific evaluator at Health Canada. Every day, I had the privilege of helping safeguard the health and safety of my fellow Canadians by evaluating scientific evidence and contributing to decisions that protect public health.
Although I eventually chose a different path, my mission never changed.
For the past 10 years, through Nia Pure Nature and Piur1, I have had the even greater joy of helping people improve their health through high quality natural health products rooted in science, quality, and nature. Whether serving Canadians through public service or through entrepreneurship, my purpose has always remained the same: helping people live healthier lives.
As we celebrate Canada Day, our country is also celebrating another inspiring achievement.
Canada’s Men’s National Soccer Team has made history by advancing to the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup. Millions of Canadians, regardless of where they were born, have united behind our team with pride and excitement. Their success reminds us what Canadians can accomplish through dedication, perseverance, teamwork, and belief.
Health is built in much the same way.
It is not created overnight or through quick fixes. Good health is the result of thousands of small choices made consistently. Choosing nourishing foods, staying active, spending time in nature, getting quality sleep, managing stress, and caring for both our bodies and minds all contribute to a healthier future.
Just as Canada’s soccer team reached this historic milestone through years of preparation, our own health is built one healthy choice at a time.
This Canada Day, I also want to express my deepest gratitude to the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have trusted Nia Pure Nature and Piur1 over the past decade.
Your support has allowed our Canadian brands to grow from a small family business into trusted names found in health food stores and homes across the country. Every purchase, every encouraging message, every recommendation to a friend, and every success story has inspired us to continue raising our standards and serving Canadians with integrity.
You have become an important part of our journey.
Canada’s strength has always come from people who choose to contribute. Whether they arrived generations ago or more recently, Canadians build stronger communities by caring for one another, sharing knowledge, supporting local businesses, and investing in the health and well-being of future generations.
As we celebrate this Canada Day with family and friends, let us also celebrate gratitude.
Gratitude for those who came before us.
Gratitude for the opportunities we have today.
Gratitude for the health we often take for granted.
And gratitude for the privilege of calling Canada home.
From my family to yours, thank you for allowing Nia Pure Nature and Piur1 to be part of your wellness journey.
Happy Canada Day! 🇨🇦
With gratitude,
